Planning your trip
Before you can begin your planning, it’s important to have an idea of what type of trip you are looking for. Do you want a full-service vacation that includes hotel accommodation and tours, or would you prefer something more independent like hostels or camping trips? Are there specific sites or activities that interest you? There are plenty of factors to consider when preparing for a vacation and it’s best not to rush into things. For example, if it is your first time traveling abroad, doing research about different airlines will probably be helpful. You may also wish to read blogs from other travelers who have visited Dubai as they can offer insight into things such as safety and food quality. Dubai tourism websites can also give you information on booking hotels and activities.

Best views of Dubai from The Burj Khalifa
At almost half a mile high, there’s no better way to soak up Dubai than from The Burj Khalifa. We were lucky enough to visit last year and we have some tips if you’re heading that way yourself. Just remember: booking in advance is key! If you think time slots are limited at ground level, they’re even tighter when it comes to viewing space on top of Dubai’s masterpiece. That said, here are some things worth knowing before your trip
General tips when visiting the tallest building in the world
Make sure you are comfortable with heights as it is quite a thrill! Don’t be surprised if your legs feel like jelly after walking down from Burj Khalifa, that’s normal! Remember there is no elevator back up! You will have to take the stairs… It takes approximately 1.5 hours total, starting at 6am and ending around 8:30am. There’s really no rush, so just be sure not to miss your departure time! Bring extra cash since they don’t accept cards, especially since most ATMs do not take large bills (e.g., $20 USD)! Have fun and enjoy Dubai!
Is it worth visiting if you don’t have a ticket?
This is an important question to ask when going on a trip, particularly if that trip involves seeing something that is incredibly popular. If you don’t have tickets for one of Dubai’s world-class attractions, are they worth visiting regardless? As it turns out, there’s a lot more to do in Dubai than just go see their biggest attraction. You can still experience some of what makes Dubai great—its variety of people and sights—without spending lots of money. In fact, there are a ton of free things to do in Dubai; you just need to know where to look for them. Here’s your guide for doing things on a budget—where even budget isn’t much of an excuse anymore!
Uniqueness of Burj Khalifa
Burj Khalifa is located at First Interchange of Sheikh Zayed Road. It is surrounded by many other tall skyscrapers. The beautiful Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina are also easily accessible via taxi or car from Burj Khalifa, which makes it an ideal location for tourists who wish to explore Dubai’s most famous landmarks. There are several ticketing options available, ranging from timed-entry tickets to tickets valid for a certain period of time. However, these tickets do not include access to The Atrium on level 124, Burj Khalifa’s highest viewing gallery. For that privilege, one must purchase a special ticket granting access (along with some complimentary refreshments) on that level.
In summary, Burj Khalifa is one of those trips that will completely change your perspective on how impressive some human achievements are. If you are looking for an activity that will put Dubai into perspective for you, look no further than visiting a structure built by humans from every culture around the globe. The whole experience is amazing, but I think that’s worth saying again: it is simply amazing . Don’t miss out on visiting what many consider to be one of humanity’s greatest achievements and make sure to stop by after work hours if possible (the lights are just too pretty at night).
